Who we are
It all began as a family solar panel business in Mirfield, England. Solar and Green has grown considerably, both fuelling and sustaining the increasing awareness and adoption of renewable energy sources. Our team has years of experience in the renewable industry across multiple technologies, including solar PV, solar thermal, energy storage and air source. Our background covers all facets of solar – from large-scale ground mount to bespoke designs and several historic British landmarks.
Our team has designed, engineered, installed and maintained tens of thousands of domestic rooftops and commercial solar power systems across the UK for over a decade. In 2021 Solar and Green decided to tackle the domestic solar market with a clear vision – that solar power systems should be for everyone. That is why we have cut out the middleman, offering solutions for residential customers at prices usually found in industrial and commercial settings. All while ensuring investor-standard warranty and delivery.
As one of the largest installers in the country, our scale allows us to offer unbeatable prices. We not only deal directly with manufacturers, but we also have in-house Design, Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance teams, ensuring we offer you the services needed.

We’ll take care of the boring bits for you, including commissioning and free registration, and for 2 years we offer free operation and maintenance as well as monitoring your system remotely, using data for the best system performance.

HIES
HIES is a consumer protection organisation covering the installation of renewable energy and home energy efficiency products. By respecting, protecting and educating consumers our aim is to transform consumer protection within the home energy market.
MCS Certificate
An MCS certificate is proof that your installation has been designed, installed & commissioned to the highest standard using only MCS certified products by an MCS certified installer. We create and maintain standards that allows for the certification of products, installers and their installations. Associated with these standards is the certification scheme, run on behalf of MCS by Certification Bodies who hold UKAS accreditation to ISO 17065.
EPVS
Once an installer becomes a member, they are committed to providing consumers with accurate performance estimates and monetary savings in accordance with our certification standard. The Energy Performance Validation Scheme (EPVS) is designed to negate issues and by using an EPVS member you can feel assured that the installer has gone through a rigorous onboarding process and has satisfied us that its paperwork is clear, understandable and correct.
